Hello from Kathleen (and Petie!)

Hello.
I met Jenn (and some of you others I see!) through another forum. I've been following Pitty Love through Facebook and the forum and decided this is a group I want to become part of! Last week I volunteered at an adoption event and I loved it. I really enjoyed being around such great dogs (and people too!) I hope to foster eventually, but in the mean time, I just want to learn more and help out where I can.
My dog Petie (actually a girl) has become one of the biggest joys in my life since my boyfriend and I adopted her almost three years ago. I was against getting a pit bull then, but my boyfriend kinda convinced me to give her a chance. I'm sure glad I did.
Now after falling in love with her and getting to know other pit bulls and about the breed in general, all I want to do is help, learn more and be around these amazing and often misunderstood dogs.
